My Story

I have to admit I wasn’t the most active kid! I loved skiing and swimming, but that meant I really didn’t have anything to do in the spring and the fall. I was very lucky to have a mother who made sure we played outside everyday and who loved (and still does) to cook healthy food for her family.

I started my career in sales and marketing over 10 years ago immediately after graduating and obtaining my BBA specializing in Marketing and Logistics. I had always been the skinny girl so it was a shock when I started gaining weight and feeling tired all the time in my early 20s. Long hours at work and bad eating habits were finally getting to me.

A colleague suggested that we join a gym and take aerobics class after work. So we did. I ended up not going most of the time because I was being held up at work so that wasn’t much of a success. A trainer at the gym mentioned weight training but I was way too scared of setting foot in the weight section all by myself - not to mention getting huge muscles!

I trained on and off for about 5 years before I met an amazing strength coach by the name of Jean-François Thibault. JF introduced me to the wonderful world of fitness and figure competition. I realized then that what I was missing in order to stay focused and stick to the plan was a goal. I chose my first show date and that was it! I have been training regularly and eating clean ever since. Coach Thibault later referred me to renowned figure and bodybuilding coach Yannick Morin from La Batcave who’s been my coach since 2007. I can’t rave enough about Yannick! He’s an Olympic athlete who's won international bodybuilding shows and he truly cares about his athletes.

I now compete 3-4 times a year with various federations. I enjoy living a healthy lifestyle and I hope that I can inspire others to do the same.

If I can sum myself up in one word it would be "normal". If I can do this so can you!
